1 What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, tablet or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences (such as language, font size and other display preferences) over a period of time, so you do not have to re-enter them every time you return.
In addition to cookies, other similar technologies (for example, web beacons, pixel tags or local storage) perform similar functions. For simplicity, we refer to all of these technologies as "cookies".
2 Why do we use cookies?
At SPARRING Labs, S.L. (hereinafter "we"), we use cookies on the PSPO Agent platform for various purposes that improve your experience and allow us to continuously optimise the service:
- Facilitate navigation: so you can move around the site without having to repeatedly enter information you have already provided.
- Optimise your experience: they store your preferences and personalise features such as language or interface options.
- Analyse site usage: they help us understand how you interact with the platform so we can improve it.
- Obtain statistics: anonymous information collected is used for statistical reports and pattern detection.
- Marketing: in some cases, they are used to show you more relevant advertising or measure campaign effectiveness.
3 Cookie types in detail
3.1. Required cookies (technical)
These cookies are essential for the platform to function correctly and cannot be disabled. They ensure basic features such as page navigation, access to secure areas and platform integrity. Without these cookies, certain parts of the website may not work properly.
3.2. Functional cookies
These cookies enable more advanced and personalised features that are not strictly necessary. They are used to store your language or interface preferences and facilitate interaction with integrated services. You can disable them, although some features may become unavailable.
3.3. Analytics cookies
They collect anonymous information about how you use the website: how long you spend, which pages you visit, which links you access from and your browsing patterns. The information collected does not directly identify you; it consists of statistical and aggregated data.
At PSPO Agent we use Google Analytics configured with anonymised IP. These cookies are only activated if you accept analytics cookies.
3.4. Marketing cookies
Marketing cookies allow us to show you more relevant advertisements and promotional content based on your interests and browsing patterns, as well as measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns that SPARRING Labs may run. These cookies may be set by third parties, such as advertising networks or marketing analytics platforms, and track your activity across different websites to build an interest profile. They are entirely optional and require your explicit consent to be activated: you can disable them at any time and continue browsing normally, although the advertising you see will be less personalised. Currently, PSPO Agent does not actively use marketing cookies, but we reserve the right to incorporate them in the future, always subject to requesting your consent beforehand.

5 Managing cookies
5.1. Consent banner
When you first access our platform, a consent banner will appear allowing you to accept all cookies, reject non-essential ones or customise your preferences by individually selecting which categories you wish to enable. This consent mechanism complies with the requirements of the GDPR and Directive 2002/58/EC (ePrivacy Directive), ensuring that no non-essential cookies are installed on your device without your prior authorisation. You can change your preferences at any time by accessing the cookie management panel, which is always available from the website footer. Any changes you make to your preferences take effect immediately and remain in place until you decide to change them again or clear your browser cookies.
5.2. Browser settings
Most browsers allow you to manage cookie settings independently. You can block all cookies, delete stored cookies or set up alerts. If you decide to block all cookies (including essential ones), you may not be able to access certain parts of the platform.

These safeguards include Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, adequacy decisions where they exist (such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) and transfer impact assessments that verify the destination country offers sufficient protection.
